Hey adventurers!
It’s been a little too quiet around here lately, so we thought it was time to share a quick update on what’s been happening behind the scenes.
Back in late August, we kicked off the first round of closed Alpha testing with our Kickstarter backers.
As you’d expect, those tests uncovered quite a few issues, and we’ve been spending a lot of time fixing them while also pushing forward with new features.
Our schedule’s never been busier — but progress is steady!
We’re also getting closer to lifting the NDA, which will allow Alpha players to start sharing their first impressions and screenshots of the game.
We’ll talk more about that when the time comes.
Patafoin joined our team last month! He’s focusing on social media and communication. You may have noticed our social media presence picking up — and that’s something we plan to keep up!
On the content side, we’ve decided to change things up a bit.
Until now, our devlogs have been a bit of a mixed bag — they can run up to 15 minutes long and often cover too many topics at once.
Because of that, we’ve had to wait until we had enough varied content to show, and between recording and editing, that meant long gaps between each release.
So from now on, we’re going for shorter, often less edited, but more regular videos.
The idea is to focus on one topic per video whenever possible.
It’ll make them easier to watch, easier to find later, and easier to share when you’re looking for info on a specific feature.
Devlogs will still be around, but they’ll lean more toward the technical side of development rather than feature showcases — more of a true “development log,” so to speak.
We’re kicking off this new format right now with a short overview of the main interface.
It’s a quick refresher to highlight the different features it includes and show you what it looks like in its current Alpha state.
More short videos like this are on the way — and you won’t have to wait two months for new content anymore!
Some will revisit topics we’ve shown before, but we’ll make sure to include something new every time.
See you soon!
